For a long time now, many sisters (and some brothers) have asked me to write a book on marriage and relationships between husband and wife within marriage.
I intend to write this book in 2012 insha’Allah and ask you make dua for me. I hope to have a well known international teacher who lives here in Melbourne endorse the work for it’s Islamic content.
I need your help.. I want to create a topic list of A-Z questions you would like answered in the book. No topic is off limits.
Insha’Allah please post your topic suggestions on my blog under the comments section of this post which will soon have it’s own page on the blog for ease of access.
If I don’t know the answer I will find a guest who does and insha’Allah my husband will contribute from the man’s perspective.
Allah SWT has said that Marriage is half our Deen and that He has created mates for us to live with in Tranquility and Peace.. insh’Allah.

Masha’Allah sister.. thank you for contributing.. it’s an important question. I’ll pick it up in the blog.. but briefly it’s here
Al-Haakim narrated in al-Mustadrak from Anas, in a marfoo’ report: “Whomever Allaah blesses with a righteous wife, He has helped him with half of his religion, so let him fear Allaah with regard to the other half.”
Al-Bayhaqi narrated in Shu’ab al-Eemaan from al-Raqaashi: “When a person gets married he has completed half of his religion, so let him fear Allaah with regard to the other half.” Al-Albaani said of these two hadeeths in Saheeh al-Targheeb wa’l-Tarheeb (1916): “(They are) hasan li ghayrihi.”
You can find explanations etc here..

Please do come back and discuss it. I’ll put a post up tomorrow on the topic insha’Allah.
Where does Allah subhanna wa ta’ala say that marriage is half our deen?
Is marriage half of religion?
Is it true that whoever gets married has completed half of his religion? What is the evidence for that?.
