He says, ‘My beloved, You are what I request and desire
You are enough of a longing and benefit for those who have hope
Are You not the One who has provided for me and guided me
And You have not ceased being gracious to me and full of favours
(Imam Shaafi)
The Prophet (pbuh) said “How wonderful is the affair of the believer, for his affairs are all good, and this applies to no one but the believer. If something good happens to him, he is thankful for it and that is good for him. If something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience and that is good for him.” (Narrated by Muslim, 2999).
Truly in the heart there is a void that can not be removed except with the company of Allah. And in it there is a sadness that can not be removed except with the happiness of knowing Allah and being true to Him. And in it there is an emptiness that can not be filled except with love for Him and by turning to Him and always remembering Him. And if a person were given all of the world and what is in it, it would not fill this emptiness."
- Ibn al-Qayyim
“To love Allah, to know Him intimately, to remember Him constantly, to find peace and rest in Him, to make Him alone the [ultimate] object of love, fear, hope and trust; to base one’s act on His control of His servants’ cares, aspirations and will- such is this world’s Heaven, and such is a Blessing with which no other Blessing can compare. It is by this that the hearts of those who love God are gladdened and that the gnostics find life. As their hearts are gladdened by Allah, so others are gladdened by them. For whoever finds his source of gladness in God, gladdens all hearts; whoever does not, finds nothing in this world but restlessness.”
- Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya

Surah 40:4.
He it is Who sent down As-Sakinah (calmness and tranquillity) into the hearts of the believers, that they may grow more in Faith along with their (present) Faith. And to Allâh belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allâh is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise.
Indeed, there is ease with hardship. Most certainly, there is ease with hardship. So, whenever you are free, strive in devotion, and turn to your Lord with longing (Surah 94:5-8)
My goal is (the Pleasure of God) Himself.
Not joy.
Not peace.
Not even blessing, but Himself, His Pleasure my God
It is His to lead me there not mine but His
At any cost, dear Lord, by any road.
So faith bounds forward to its goal in God and love can trust our Lord to lead her there.
I pray by Him my soul will follow hard ’til God has at last fulfill my deepest prayer
No matter if the way become sometimes dark.
No matter if the cost be often great.
He knoweth how I best should reach the mark.
The way that leads to Him must need be straight
One thing I know, I can not say Him nay.
One thing I do, I press toward my God
